Today Elsa, Zack and I hiked with snow shoes at Galena hills. It was absolutely breathtaking. Miles and miles of untouched powder. The snow shoes allowed us to walk on top of 2 or 3 feet of snow. After about a mile, I was pooped.

Today we had lunch at the Kneadry in Ketchum, Idaho. The decor was rustic western. They had a taxidermy bear, moose, cow and other wild animals. Seeing the moose reminded me of my near-death experience on my first day here. So glad it wasn’t a male moose that ran towards me. Today it was 10 degrees, which inspired people to wear their fur coats.

Still surviving 20 degree weather in Idaho. I took this while hanging out with Elsa at her babysitting gig. The house is huge. The kids have so many toys. #richpeople

Almost died this morning trying to snap a photo of mamma moose and her child. It charged at me and I was scared shitless. Elsa told me to climb up a tree, which I didn’t of course because I couldn’t run in 2 feet of snow. So I just dived in the snow. Camera was drenched. I was drenched. I was not properly dressed because I was still in bed when Elsa came home and told me to run downstairs to see the beasts.
Her dad later told us more people die from being charged at by moose than from other animals. I was shaking for a good 10 minutes.

I’m visiting my roommate’s home (and doing a story) in Hailey, Idaho. Her home is so charming and adorable. I’ll be here for 6 days. More pictures to come!
